Birthday Wishes For You

Today is my sister's birthday and because we live so far apart we can't be together.
I did however make this birthday card for her!
The sketch comes from Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #25. Also the Crazy 4 Challenges making something sweet.
Some fabulous Verve stamps helped create this cute cupcake card.
Carpe Cupcake and Making a Sentiment.
Tonight all the little trick or treat peeps will be roaming the neighbourhoods. I hope to get quite a few as we do NOT need any leftover candy....lol
Be safe!
Have a great day!

Fight Like a Girl

Hello!
Yesterday was go go go!
I managed to only complete one card. So unusual!
This one was started before dinner and then finished afterward.
The layout comes from the MFT Sketch #43 again. It's a great sketch, eh?
Just this past week I received my latest MFT order in the mail and was anxious to get this sweet image inky.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Happy Snow Day MFT sketch #43

Good Saturday Morning!

I noticed on Facebook yesterday that several of my friends in the Eastern US got snow!
hehe....not us...yet ;)
We almost always have some snow before Halloween BUT this will be the second year in a row that I we haven't....yippee!

Gosh, I really must get busy stock piling my holiday cards. I have a lot to give out this year!
So here's another Pure Innocence one.
I've used the fun MFT sketch #43 for my layout.
We are off to Costco this morning and then home to carve pumpkins!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

It's Pink - HYCCT1128

Hello :)

Last week Jami emailed asking if I'd be interested in make a sample for her challenge that she was hosting for a Hope You Can Cling To Challenge on SCS.
Of course I jumped onboard right away!

Jami's challenge was to create a holiday/winter/Christmas card with any shade of pink!
If you play along and upload to SCS please be sure to use keyword HYCCT1128

I love making non-traditional holiday cards and decided to make two.
My first card uses a new A la Carte from Taylored Expressions called Snow.
Stamps: Snow A la Carte; Cardstock: White, Intense Prism Pink, Echo Park DP; Inks: Memento Black; Accessories: Scalloped Edge, Copics, Glitter, Snowflake Punch, White Sparkly Candy Dot, Dimensionals
My second card is a pretty quick and simple one with no stamping but I was able to use one of my new Taylored Expressions Dies called Trim The Tree. It's pretty in pink isn't it?!
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, White, Echo Park DP; Accessories: Trim The Tree Die, Sewing Machine, Buttons, Twine, Dimensionals, Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll play along with the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges!

Congratulations Are In Order

Happy last day of work this week....for me! Yeah!
Gosh for a short week it sure has felt extra long.

Last night I made a quick card for the SCS sketch challenge.
Since my MFT package had just arrived I really wanted to use the Contempo Birdcage that I had ordered.
I ended up using some of the MFT felt for the birds. I think it turned out really cute ;)
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great Thursday!

I used the Verve set called You and I along with the Jotted Heart Die.
Stamps: You and I; Cardstock: White, Smokey Shadown, Echo Park Victoria Gardens DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Jotted Heart Die, Circle Nesties, Twill, MFT Edge Die, Rhinestones, Sewing, Dimensionals

Christmas Blessings

Christmas is a little more than two months away. Wow.
Where did this year go?
Each and every year I say I'm going to start my holiday shopping earlier and mail my cards on time. Well first step would be to create cards ;)
Here is one I made last night using the SCS sketch.
A fairly simple card although it did take me a while to find a sentiment that I liked.
The sentiment is from an older SU! set called Seasons Greetings(or at least that is what I *think* it's called).
Frankly, I'm too lazy to go back downstairs to look....lol
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful Thursday!

We Are Friends Forever, in Sunshine and in Shade

Good Morning!
I forgot to write up my blog post before heading to the Oiler vs Flames game last night.
We had a blast!!
Sat right behind the goalie in first row. Freaky when those pucks are flying at you. I'll admit to flinching a few time ;)

This card below was made using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.
Instead of using a banner in the top left corner I went with some flat bottom clouds from MFT.
The image is an old fave of mine from Taylored Expressions called Branching Out.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a GREAT day!

The Future

There is a great Mojo211 sketch posted this week!
I was thrilled to have a little time this evening to stamp.
I reached for an older Verve stamp set called Floral Whimsy.
I used two Verve dies to frame the sentiment.
White cardstock was cut with the Rounded Rectangle and Melon Mambo was cut with the Rounded Scallop Frame Die. Some white seam binding and a couple of Prima flowers finish it off.

Stamps: Floral Whimsy; Cardstock: White, Melon Mambo, Echo Park DP; Inks: Black; Accessories: Rounded Scallop Frame Die, Rounded Rectangle Die, Prima Flowers, White Seam Binding, Sewing Machine, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by!

A Little Birdie Told Me

I thought I'd have a TON of stamping time this weekend and as it turns out I made three cards.
That's it.
Amazing.
Oh well! Can't win 'em all....lol
This card below was created for the Featured Stamper card on SCS.
I used the super cute MFT Homespun Birdhouse set again. Love.It.

Happy Birthday - MFT sketch #41

Well hello!
I'm so happy you could stop by today!
I have another quick card for you using the same papers as yesterday. I figured since they were still at my table I should go ahead and create another card with them. They are pretty after all :)
This layout comes from the MFT sketch #41.
I used the fun First Class Friend Stamp and Die set.
The yellow rose was on my table from when my friend Michelle was visiting me from Boise last weekend. I was showing her how easy they are to create.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Enjoy your Sunday!

Happy Mail

Hello!
Wow it's been a crazy week with no stamping since Monday :(

This afternoon once I finished all my errands I decided to sit down and have some me time :)
I looked up Jen's Deconstructed Sketch(link on sidebar).
This sweet Pure Innocence was still in the package UNopened! How did that happen?!
She's a cutie! I also opened my new MFT flower dies that I received a few weeks ago.
Gee I remember when I had a little more free time and the DAY the packages arrived I was creating. Now I play catch up.
I'm off to order pizza for dinner! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!

I Love You This Much

It was a sad day on Saturday.
We woke to find that Fozzy Bear, Chloe's guinea pig, had passed away.
We knew he hadn't been well but it was definitely sudden and it crushed Chloe.

She asked if I could share a couple of pictures.
This was Fozzy in July eating grass in the backyard.
Chloe loved to take him outside and play.
She created a card for Foz and printed these pictures off to keep in her room.
I wanted to make something for her...

The sketch comes from the MFT Sketch #40.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello

Yesterday I had a wonderful visit with an old friend and her family.
We shared a lot of laughs throughout the day.
I was sad to see them leave :(
We told them we'll see them again after winter....there is no driving south once the snow starts to fly....too risky!
I createed this card using the Deconstructed Sketch #22.
The sweet new PI is called Feeling Froggy.
I left out the frog ;)
Well that's it from me today.
Chloe and I are planning on going geocaching this morning with Snickers.
We'll find hidden treasures around our neighbourhood. It'll be great exercise!
Have a wonderful day!

On Monday evening I decided to just bite the bullet and go stamp right after dinner. I knew if I sat down on the couch and watch tv, I probably wouldn't get up.....lol
I used the super adorable and fun Homespun Birdhouse Die and Stamp set.
Designer paper comes from Jillibean Soup.

Friends Stick Together - MFTWSC39

Good Saturday Morning!
Happy World Card Making Day!
I was up first thing this morning before the sun came up and headed to the basement stamping!
Ahhhhhhh love it!
It's been quite a few days since I'd gotten inky and I was getting antsy to get at it again.
I created this card below with a new MFT set that arrived in my mailbox yesterday! FUN!
The layout comes from this week's MFT Sketch #39. First Class Friend was used along with some Cosmo Cricket Clemantine designer paper.
Well in between making cabbage rolls and perogies today(for our Canadian Thanksgiving next weekend) I hope to get a little more stamping in today ;)
Enjoy your Saturday!
