Wishing You a Joyous Season - DS125

Happy Halloween
Are you ready for all those little trick or treaters?
We are!
I have to admit that making Halloween cards are probably my least favourite of any holiday. I'm always thankful when Halloween is over and I can concentrate on snowman cards!!! LOL!

Ready for  another edition of Deconstructed Sketch!
Check out this week :)
I started off thinking this would be a great card for one of my male supervisors but then I added the bow. What do you think? Not manly enough now?
It's not often that I don't mat my designer papers either. Looks weird to me....lol
Stamps are from MFT.

Happy Christmas

Hello :)

Today starts my 8 day stretch before my next vacation starts.
The next two days I'm doing a first aid course with a few of my department managers. Always a good thing to have!

Last weekend I played along with the MFT sketch #147
This new PI is so stinkin' cute! She's going to be on quiet a few of my holidays this year :)
I paper pieced her coat and hat but kept everything else super simple.

Let It Snow

brrrrrrrr!

We awoke to more snow this morning :(
It's not going to stick around but it better be gone before Halloween! Opening and closing the door when it's freezing out really sucks.

My card below combines two challenges:
Once again I struggled with these colours....lol
I couldn't get the Perfect Plum to photo very well. It looks so washed out.
I started by stamping some snowflakes from Snowflake Splendor in Wisteria wonder onto white cardstock. Then I die cut the trees and added some glitter.

Ornaments of Life - SSSC196

Are you ready for another WONDERFUL sketch?!
This week there is a fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch for you. Check it out!
I'm having so much fun with my new MFT stamps that I just couldn't put him away just yet! It's hard to tell in the photo but I added Glossy Accents to the ornaments and his hat as well. A little bit of stickles on the snow and viola! Complete!
Checkmark another card off my list for one of my department managers :)

Happy Snowgirl

Hello :)

Happy Saturday!
Any big plans this weekend?

Mine will be to finish going through a few boxes as there are still items I haven't found.
It's time to bring out one of my darker fall like Coach purses and put away my fun and colourful summer one.
Now to find which box it could possibly be in.....lol

I had last Wednesday off work and it's always nice to have a mid week day off. One reason is to get things done around the house. The other is to stamp of course!

I can't recall the last time I played along with the SCS sketch and it was a welcome change!
I paper pieced her scarf and added a bit of blue shading around her. Something that I rarely do but love the effect. It makes her seem so much brighter!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Double Double Toil & Trouble

Hooray for Friday!

I finally have THREE days off in a row! I'm making up for some time owed and it's going to be wonderful!
There is still a ton of things to do around our house since the move. A few boxes need to be gone through, a search for a few items that I still can't locate and then likely a run to the recycle depot with cardboard.

Not to worry....I'll sneak a little bit of stamping in :)

Here's a Reverse Confetti card I created for two challenges earlier this week.
I love the chalkboard effect and when I first discovered it several months ago I maybe over did it on every card. It's been awhile so I thought it was time to get inky with my white craft ink again!
I stamped several sentiments from the Spooky Sentiments in white craft and heat set before sponging on a bit of the same ink. The pumpkins are from the Spooky Cuties stamp set.
With Halloween just around the corner I thought I better give those Martha punches some love.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Yesterday I had a little bit of extra time which was a pleasant surprise so I coloured up this little cutie from MFT.

Happy Holidays

Happy Wednesday!

I'm off today which is nice!
Having a weekday off I get a LOT more done around the house ;)

In November I'd like to do a fundraiser at work for all the colleagues so I better get at making up 5 samples of cards that we'll make. It's better to have the samples made before I make a sign up sheet. People likely want to know what the cards look like, right?

Maybe I'll work on that today!

For now I have a card to share with you that I created last week for the Dynamic Duos Challenge #169 of Midnight Muse, Pool Party and White. As well as the SCS Ways To Use It Challenge #449 Chipboard.

TLC452 - My First Challenge Hostess Post

Good Morning!

I'm super excited today to be sharing my first SCS challenge!
A few months ago the ladies of the Try a New Technique asked if I'd be interested in joining them.
I was sooooooooo excited but was in the midst of a move and a new job.
They were very patient with me :)

Now that I've moved I will be joining them monthly.
Ready to see what the TLC452 is?

Ok so maybe you want to see what I created for the challenge?

Thanks for stopping by!

Peace - MFT sketch #146

Hello :)

It's my weekend to work which means not a lot of stamping time for me. Bummer but that's okay. It means I'll have a day off during the week and I feel like I get a lot more done around the house when everyone is either at school or work.

Last week I played along with the MFT sketch.

Another quick and easy card created with MFT dies. Love when a die can be the focal point of my card.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a GREAT weekend!

Merry Kissmass - Freshly Made Sketch #108

Hello :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Things seem to be getting a little more normal around my house but I know it's not going to last....lol
So I took advantage of my day off this week and stamped a few cards :)

Yesterday my MFT order arrived and I'm looking forward to getting inky with the new goodies next week!

For now I want to share a card that I created for the Freshly Made Sketch #108

I used the super cute PI Merry Kissmass and some My Mind's Eye papers.
LOL I realized after taking the photo that I forgot to colour the arms on the snowman. I've since corrected that but was too lazy to re-photograph ;)

Merry Christmas - DS123

Wow....I almost missed this post!
I had gotten my days mixed up working some crazy shifts lately and different days off that I didn't realize it was Thursday! Duh!

You know what that means!
Ready for  another edition of Deconstructed Sketch!
Check out this week :)
I decided to pull out a cute Pure Innocence from MFT that is actually a Halloween cutie ;) I left off the little pumpkin face that you could stamp on her shirt. The sentiment comes from another MFT set. Think it was PI Holly.

Wishing You Blessings This Season

Hello :)

Thanks for stopping by today!
On Sunday I had a little itty bit of stampy time while our turkey was cooking so I snuck into my craft room.

The Freshly Made Sketch #107 was my starting point.
Knowing my time was limited I went ultra CAS with some MFT goodies.
The Poinsettia die was a fave of mine last season and it's sure to get a good workout this year too!
The sentiment comes from the Fall Foliage stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Are you ready for another WONDERFUL sketch?!
This week there is a fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch for you. Check it out!
I decided to add another card to my sunflower collection that I've been making. Trying to make a set of 5 different cards to box up and hopefully give as a Christmas gift.

Snow Girl - DS122

Happy Thursday!
Ready for  another edition of Deconstructed Sketch!
Check out this week :)

Things have been crazy at work and I wasn't sure I was going to have time to play along this week BUT to keep my sanity among all the mumbo jumbo going on....I stamped! Yeah!
It was time to get soft and feminine.
I stamped the sweet PI in Memento Black and coloured with some copics. The designer paper is from My Mind's Eye and is called Merry Little Christmas.
