Let's Celebrate YOU

Good morning!
Normally I'd be excited for Hump Day because it's half way through the work week....well not for me....lol
Hump Day will be about Saturday for me this week :(

Earlier this year we broke into teams at work. It's the best way I can explain it.
Anyway, I started a tradition of giving this sweet PI girl as a birthday card to anyone who has a birthday on my team.
Here is one I created using last week's MFT sketch #102.
I paper pieced her dress and added a bit of sparkle to the balloon with a spica pen but you can't see it in the picture....sorry!
Stamps: Birthday Girl
Paper: White, Island Indigo, MME A Mother's Love dp
Ink: Memento black
Accessories: Copics, MFT fishtail banner die, dimensionals
I'm also linking this card up to a new challenge blog that Lesley has created called Seize The Birthday.
Challenges will begin in January! Right now they are having a linky party to get the word out. I'm looking forward to playing along in 2013!
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Holidays - Snowflakes

Hello!

Gosh it feels like it's been forever that I stamped!
The first part of the week I was down and out each night with this cold and the later part of the week I was busy with work.
Luckily, I'm on a three day weekend!
Today I will stamp. Yes.I.Will.

Today the Paper Players have a fun Snowflake Challenge!
For my card I went a little more masculine in the colours and design.
I embossed a black piece of cardstock with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
My snowflake was created with a MFT die and then embossed with SU! detailed gold embossing powder. Love that stuff but don't use it nearly enough! The sentiment was embossed in gold and is from Verve.
This card uses the Freshly Made Sketch from this week and also the Dynamic Duos Challenge colours of gold and black.
I do hope you'll play along with us this week and upload your snowflake card to the Paper Players Blog!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hope Your Christmas Is Snow Much Fun!

Happy Wednesday!

Gosh I can't believe it's less than 2 weeks until Christmas.
December is whipping by and I still haven't mailed out one card....lol
I started giving cards out to my supervisors last week while in Cranbrook and will continue this week with my other out of town stores.

Here's a Christmas card I created with last week's colour challenge on SCS.
Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist and Early Espresso
While I didn't have any Early Espresso cardstock left, I did have the ink so I coloured him with my ink pads and a blender pen.
A fairly quick and simple card.

Paper Players 125

Good morning!

Hope you're ready for a new Paper Players Challenge?
Check out these fun colours!
I had fun creating with them last weekend that I made a couple of cards.

First up is this cutie pie!
I stamped the sweet Pure Innocence girl and coloured her with Copics.
I wanted to play along again with the Crafty Friends Challenge #12 of CAS as well.
Next up is this one using the MFT Poinsettia Die. I had created this one last weekend for the Crafty Friends Challenge #12 of CAS.
You'll notice both cards have the same layout as I used the iSpy Sketch #44 for them.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope that you'll join us at the Paper Players and upload your creations too!

It is Christmas...

Hello and happy Saturday!

It looks as though my cold has come back with a vengeance after my trip to Cranbrook :(
Those airplanes aren't the best for germs, eh? LOL!

Anyway, I am home safe and sound with my family. I'll spend the day resting up and writing my holiday cards.

Last Monday there was a fabulous Mojo270 sketch posted and I created this with some Verve stamps.
I also used Verve's Winter Fun Die to cut the tree out.

Santa Claus is coming to town!

Wow only three weeks until Christmas!
I am so not ready this year!
I better buckle down and get at it soon because work is going to get crazy and I'm sure by the time I get home at the end of the day all I'll want is my bed! LOL!

Are you one of those people that are ready months before Christmas?
Or are you more last minute like me ;)

Sunday after putting the tree up I snuck into my craft room to create a card for the Featured Stamper on SCS.
I chose to case Sharri's card here.
Stamps and dies are from Taylored Expressions.
Brian had picked up some of these cute little jingle bells for me to use this year and I had forgotten about them! So I grabbed the hot glue gun and stuck 'em on!
Stamps: A Year of Sweet Sentiments
Paper: White, Wild Wasabi, Doodlebug North Pole DP

May Your Holidays Sparkle

Hello and happy Monday!

Did you have a nice weekend?
Do anything exciting? I'd love to hear!

We decorated some more for the holidays and went and got a real tree this year.
Of course because everything is FROZEN we couldn't decorate until Sunday as it had to thaw....lol

I know several people don't like to have a real tree because of bugs....suppose that's ONE bonus to living somewhere that's COLD like here....they all died! ha!

After finishing the tree and having some lunch I was able to get into my craft room and stamp a bit.
Was a nice relaxing day :)

The Crafty Friends Challenge #12 is all about CAS this week and I've really been enjoying creating them too!

This is one card I made....
Stamps: Seasonal Sentiments
Paper: Crumb Cake, Pool Party
Ink: Black
Accessories: MFT snowflake die, MFT well worn words die, Pool Party Twine, SU button, Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, Rhinestones
Before decorating today Brian had to run to Lowe's to buy a new extension cord for me and while there he spotted this cute snowman hat for me :)
Isn't it cute? His feet have velco and do up under my chin....hehe!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a fantastic Monday!

Holiday Hugs Snowman PP124

If you are here for my Sweet Sunday Sketch please scroll down and also see an example in this post ;)

The Paper Players have a fun challenge this week...
Since snowmen are a fave of mine this time of year I was excited to make a sample right away!
In fact, I think I made this card BEFORE last weeks card....lol
Anyway....onto it!
Here I've used the super duper cutie from MFT called Holiday Hugs Snowman.
Isn't he just the cutest?
The snowflake is from the MFT as well.
I've used the Sweet Sunday Sketch #173 for my layout.

Now pop on over to the Paper Players Blog and see what fun inspiration the team has to share today :)

Christmas Tree SSSC173

Hello and happy Sunday!

Today Karen has a wonderful Sweet Sunday Sketch for us....take a peek!
For my card I reached for the tree die from PTI's In The Meadows Silhouettes.
I inked up the image and die cut it but before adhering it to my card I sprayed it with some Glimmer Mist to give it a little sparkle ;)
Stop by Karen's blog to link up your creation and to visit the rest of the team see below:
Our guest stamper this week is Lisa Henke!!

Poinsettia FMS63

Hello!

Happy December 1st!

Today my family will decorate our tree and turn our outdoor lights on....I can't wait!
It'll be a nice afternoon together.
Maybe pop in a movie or turn on some Christmas tunes while we busy ourselves decorating.

I need to sit down this weekend and start addressing my holiday cards too.
Each year the deadline to mail comes so quickly and each year I tell myself that I won't leave it to last minute like I've done every other year. Yep. Sure.

This week my MFT order arrived and I was so excited to play with this dienamic....Poinsettia.
Time has been really limited so I went with a quick CAS card using the Freshly Made Sketch #63.

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Echo Park Very Merry Christmas DP; Accessories: MFT Poinsettia Die, Rhinestone, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by today!
