Merry Christmas to All PP122

Welcome back to another week for a Paper Players Challenge.

If you are interested in joining the Paper Players Challenge Team please read up on their blog.

This week it's CAS and colour challenge:

This is what I've created using Papertrey Ink dies and stamps.
I found a sheet of SU! silver cardstock in my files and was thrilled!
Honestly, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to play along as I know I didn't have gold anything....not a gold fan....lol Thought I'd used up all my silver cardstock too.
Anyway, the sentiment is stamped in Pool Party and a little pool party baker's twine was used. I die cut the Merry using Holiday Words by PTI.

Today is the LAST Nascar race of the season :(
No hockey and no more racing makes for a sad girl.
I'll enjoy today in my craft room stamping and watching the race though!

Have a wonderful day!

Merry Christmas SSSC172

Hello and Happy Sweet Sunday Sketch Time!

This week Karen has a nice Clean & Simple sketch for us :)

This one stumped me at first. Wasn't sure what to put where the star was and then I realized I had some mittens that I'd made a while back sitting on my desk. Perfect! I'll use those!
This is a SU! only card created with some Snow Festival DSP. Stamps are from Make a Mitten and also Owl Occasions.

Stop by Karen's blog to link up your creation and to visit the rest of the team see below:
Our gues stamper this week is Carole Burrage!!

I'm SO happy it's the weekend!
Geez it's felt like an very long week!

Work, travel and traffic have stressed me out and a weekend full of stamping is just what I need!
This morning after Brian and I got home from weekly breakfast date, I got straight to work!

I decided to warm up with this Freshly Made Sketch #61 card.
Here I've used some MFT dies and sentiment along with some Taylored Expression flowers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo 267 and TLC403

Only two more work days!
Yeah!
Here's hoping they fly by!

Having Monday off was wonderful and I was able to play along with a few different challenges.
Here I have combined the Mojo Sketch #267 with the TLC Challenge #403 on SCS of folded trees.
Those trees are so easy to make!
Yesterday Carole asked how I create this window box with supplies. I actually just copy and paste it here from my SCS gallery :) No need to type it twice....KWIM?
Stamps: Christmas In The Air
Paper: Crumb Cake, EP Season's Greetings DP
Ink: Black
Accessories: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Iridescent Gold, MFT scallop die, Always Artichoke Ribbon, Sewing, Dimensionals

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello
Thanks for stopping by today!

On Monday I created this card using a bunch of MFT dies.
Last year for Christmas I had made a card using just the fence and birdhouse but while cleaning up my dies I came across this branch and leaf die. Since it's winter, I left the leaves off ;)
I think this would be okay for one of my male supervisors. No ribbon and one little rhinestone....lol
Stamps: MFT
Paper: Crumb Cake, EP dp
Ink: Black
Accessories: MFT branch die, mft homespun birdhouse die, mft fence die, mft fishtail dies, dimensonals. mft pennant dies(pole), red rhinestone

Happy Holly-Days Flip Top Box

Hello!

After having three days off in a row I just never feel like going back to work.
Anyone else ever feel that way?
Why can't I win the lottery and retire.
I'd move somewhere that never snows ;)
But I digress. It's back to work today!

Last week one of the holiday blitz tutorials on SCS was a Flip Top Box.
You know like a crayon box?
Super cool and really easy once you watch Beate's video tutorial.
I made two so far :)

Here's the first one....

Stamps: Holly Girl
Paper: Crumb cake, gumball green, real red, white, Carta Bella Merry & Bright DP
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories: Copics, circle Nesties, mft first place award ribbon die, pti holly die, dimensionals

Holiday Wreaths

Hello :)

I'm off today and I plan on doing nothing but hangin' out in my craft room :)

I had quite a bit of stampy time this past weekend with the weather being COLD I had no desire to go very far. So glad we got the shopping and errands done last weekend.

Yesterday I was inspired to finally get a wreath made after seeing my Paper Player teammates....Nance Leedy.
She made a GORGEOUS fall coloured leaf wreath.

Now I don't have any of those fancy dies to make rosettes so this took me quite sometime.
I cut the large outside papers 6" x 12" and scored every 1/2". Taped four of them together to create the large base.
The smaller rosettes were made with 2" x 12" strips(taping two together).
I cut some white snowflakes using the MFT snowflake die and added a SU! button and linen thread. The sentiment is from MFT's Seasonal Sentiments. I am LOVING this set!!! Gorgeous fonts and sentiments. Found some fun rhinestone flourishes in my stash. I always admire when Beate uses things like this!
Taking a picture was a challenge and finally decided to take a picture off the wall and hang it there....lol
The colours are off a bit. This is Old Olive and Real Red.
Here is a close up of the details.....Think you can see the colours better here :)
While I created mine Chloe came in and asked if she could make something.
This is what she created. Turned out pretty!
Her Marina Mist paper was cut 3" x 12" and scored every 1/2". Two pieces taped together to create her wreath.
She used the MFT snowflake die and addes some Stardust Stickles.
Again the sentiment comes from MFT's Seasonal Sentiments.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Paper Players Challenge 121

Good Sunday Morning!

Today's Paper Players Challenge is....

I created two samples using these colours :)

First one uses the SU set called Watercolor Winter.
I stamped the image in Bravo Burgandy and More Mustard.
Cut it out to pop it up for some dimension. A piece of felt was sewn to some retired Ski Slope dsp and Bravo Burgandy cardstock.
This layout comes from the Freshly Made Sketch #60.

For my second sample I created a bookmark for a friend.
I thought the colours would be great for a masculine project.
Here I've used a Papertrey Ink stamp and die called All Booked Up.
Stop by the Paper Players Blog to see what fabulous inspiration the team has to share!

Have a wonderful day!

Sunflowers

Good Saturday Morning!

When MFT released these Sunflower dies last month, I HAD to have them. I even emailed Kim letting her know how excited I was and couldn't wait to order when they were sneak peekin' them....lol

Now if only I could still see my neighbours sunflowers through all the snow!
Thinking next year we'll plant some of our own at the back along the fence.

Anyway, onto my card.....

I created this last weekend for the Featured Stamper on SCS.
Paper: Crumb Cake, Choc Chip, Daffodil Delight, White
Accessories: MFT sunflower dies, Embossing Folder, Choc chip Ribbon, Dimensioanls

Wishing You a Joyous Season

Hello :)

If you are looking for my Fun Friday Your Next Stamp post please scroll down....thanks!

Last weekend I played along with the MFT sketch from Wednesday and created this card.
We definitely look like we are in the holiday season here with 6 inches of snow in the past 24 hours.....lol
It's always so pretty when it's NEW snow but turns to a yucky mess pretty quick!
Anyway, back to my card....
Last month I earned this free set from MFT called Seasonal Sentiments. I just LOVE the boldness of it! Perfect for making it the focal point of any card.
Again, this sketch is from MFT #96.
Stamps: Seasonal Sentiments
Paper: Crumb Cake, EP This & That Christmas dp
Ink: Black
Accessories: MFT snowflakes, mini pennants, solid bracket border dies, Sewing, Red Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Linen Thread

Today the girls at Your Next Stamp have a Fun Friday and the theme this month is all about Gifts and Giving.
I decided to make a set of gift tags!

Originally I had made these to give to a friend to use this upcoming holiday season but now that I'm done I think I might just keep them for myself....hehe!
I used a super cute little set called Celebrate The Season.

Given Enough Caffeine I Could Rule The World

Happy Hump Day already!!!
Yeah!
I don't know about you but whenever there is a time change I am exhausted the first week. Can't figure out why as we GAINED an hour....lol
Maybe it's waking up at 4:30 am instead of 5:30 without an alarm??? By 8 pm I'm ready for bed. Maybe it's just that I'm getting old???

Last night in order to stay up past 8pm I headed to my craft room and stamped!
Julee had an awesome sketch on the Mojo Monday blog.
I pulled out a fun coffee/tea set called Better With You from Verve.
The papers are actually Christmas themed. Echo Park This & That Christmas.
Thanks for stopping by!

Be Merry - Sweet Sunday Sketch

Hello :)

Gosh it was a long week without stamping. Yesterday I was excited to sit down and get busy with a bunch of new to me goodies!

Karen had a great Sweet Sunday Sketch #171 for me to use a new to me Pure Innocence called Holly Girl.
Isn't she a cutie? I know I'll be using her a lot this year especially since I ordered some holly dies from PTI!
Now hop on over to Karen's blog to see the sketch!
Be sure to visit the other girls too!
