Get Crackin'

Happy Halloween!
First I'd like to wish my sister, Jennifer....a VERY Happy Birthday! Being born on Halloween wasn't the best thing when you were a kid...lol
Jen...I hope you have a wonderful 34th???
I have a card to share with you from yesterday's Ways To Use It Challenge of Get Crackin'
Since I don't own any crackle paints I decided to go the Cracked Glass route.
This Thomas Kinkade image seemed perfect!
I first stamped the image on Very Vanilla with Choc Chip ink before cutting it out with my Top Note Die. I then used some Versamark and 4 layers of Ultra Thick Embossing Powder. It was popped in the freezer for a bit and then I bent the paper to get the little cracks. It was a little warped so I cut another piece of choc chip cs with the top note and glued it to the back for stability. I think the rest is straight forward.
I think it turned out wonderfully. What do you think?
Stamps: Thomas Kinkade; Cardstock: Choc Chip, Very Vanilla and Bella Rose DP; Inks: Choc Chip and VersaMark; Accessories: Top Note Die, UTEE, Choc Satin Ribbon, Vanilla Grosgrain, Linen Thread, Dimensionals
I'm LOVING these snowman from MFT!! I think my favourite colouring is with Copics on Shimmery White cardstock. This was for the MFT sketch #54 on SCS.
Stamps: MFT A Scarf for Three; Cardstock: Tangerine, Bashful Blue, Shimmery White and Frosty Days DP; Inks: Adirondack Black; Accessories: Copics, Circle Nesties, Heidi Swapp Ghost Snowflake, Circle Punch, Dimensionals
Today was to be my turn to sneak peek a Storage Unit, Inks & More set but they haven't arrived yet :(
Be sure to see what the other girl's have done though!
Tuesday, Oct. 28--------Mary Jo, Jen Ofiana, Susan
Wednesday, Oct. 29------Chat, Suzanne, Carolina
Thursday, Oct. 30-------Jen del Muro, Leigh, Debbie
Friday, Oct. 31---------Dawn, Kathie, Tori

OMGosh! The Kincade card is gorgeous. I've been afraid to get any of his stamps for fear that I couldn't color them properly. You just proved that monochrome is the way to go. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

Cracking with the UTEE is one of my favorite techniques. What left me with a dropped jaw though, was your keen use of the Thomas Kincaid stamp and the sepia colors. I've been coveting a Thomas Kincaid stamp but have been too intimidated to buy one. I believe your artwork just cured me of that. You're the best!

Look out CHF...there's some SUPER talent here! By far, one of the best uses of the Thomas Kinkade stamps! I have never tried the cracked glass effect, but today's the day. This seems very dfferent from your usual color/style designs (which I LOVE), but it once again shows how super talented you are!

Dawn, as always your work is stunning. I love the Thomas Kinkade and love that although it is very different from your usual style or technique, you're not afraid to try it and by doing so inspire others like me to do so as well. Like many of the others who have commented before me, I may just have to order a Thomas Kinkade stamp....and the snowman stamp set, and the top note die, etc. etc. etc.
