Free to good home....

8 almost 9 year old girl....lol
OK so I'm joking but seriously I about LOST it this morning....
All week I've been wanting to tackle, yes tackle, that room of hers. Now I don't normally clean it for her but it seems every few months I NEED to....
I actually ran out of black garbage bags and had to get some from my neighbour *Hi Lisa*...
I think what threw me over the edge was finding FOOD stuffed under her bed...GROSS~!
I told her she was grounded until the end of the school year. Ok so that may be a little long since we still have 4 weeks...rofl....but it'll go until I think she has suffered enough ;)
This time she amazingly didn't put up a fuss with my punishment and I kept hearing, "Sorry Mom"
Onto some good news....
All That Scraps and CC Designs are releasing some new sets this week!! I unfortunately did not get mine in the mail yet...darn border and customs!
If you hop on over to the ATS blog you can see todays sneak peek.
I'm hoping to get some stamping time in later today!

I am sooo there!
I went to collect the missing socks from under the bed of my just turned 10 yr. old dd's room (only one of each pair seem to make it into the hamper) and I found acrylic paint, paint dried in a paint cup and dried on a brush. (craft supplies have been banned from her room for a few months now).

Her defense?
Mom, I was making your present for you for Mother's Day and you were EVERYWHERE else!

*SIGH*

Boy does this bring back memories! My daughter who just turned 30 did the same thing at that age. I can tell you they turn out okay :) Thanks for the memory and a good laugh! Go hug her...she'll be 30 in the twinkle of an eye.

Oh my goodness!!
I am babysitting 3 Grandchildren....15, 12 and 8!!!
The 8 yr old and I just had abit of a tussle - verbally that is - lol.
I took photos of her room yesterday and am going to show them at her wedding. Her 12 yr old Sister just said, "if anybody will have her Grammy".
As Mauna wrote....give her a hug. Their Mother is 44 now. Surpisingly how it all comes back!!! LOLOLOL

I have a 7 going on 8 year old and I pretty much go through with a garbage bag once a week and get rid of abandoned art projects, miscellaneous junk and anything else that is clutter!

I feel your pain! My eight year old is a complete pack rat! I get so fed up with her room, I just shut the door and pretend it's not there:o)

Good luck with the grounding...sometimes I feel the parent suffers worse than the child! LOL!

Oh, I don't think your daughter's room was as bad as my daughter's room. Sometimes I call her Ms. Piggy and she laughs. . .she thinks it's funny.

I don't even want to step into her room. I've asked repeatedly for her to clean her room weekly. . .she'll start but never finish. I've taken away her MP3 player, her computer, any games, Internet time, etc. . .it works for only a week. I may have to clean her room like you did with your daughter's room.

I once, recently, helped my niece clean her bedroom. This room was 6x12, and it took us four hours to clean. 2 trash bags of trash and 4 of dirty clothes later I was ready to slap her mother. Good for you for staying on top of her and disciplining her, she needs it and so did my niece(and her mother for that matter)!!

oh my gosh, you crack me up. that's kids for ya. I use to tell Chase & Brook that if you eat in your room it attracts roaches and they will crawl in your ears when you are sleeping. It worked before they became teens....now I need a new line :)
